These springs are an extremely effective way of maneuvering around the area quickly, dodging attacks, regaining stamina, and following into a light or heavy attack, which are both effective for building up your gauge. One of the most effective ways of regaining your stamina in a fight is by using the Spring Karakuri. With your base stats, you can only perform three parries in a row before you run out of stamina and, considering a lot of the effective combos that will build up your gauge also deplete your stamina, if you aren't careful, you will find yourself out in the open with no way to escape from attacks.
The main thing to focus on when fighting with the Bladed Wagasa is your stamina. Getting your gauge to red will allow you to throw the weapon quicker in the Trey Star combo dealing high damage even faster.Įven though a lot of your basic attacks don't build up your gauge that much, they are effective at making sure it doesn't deplete, as your Spindance Gauge will start dropping almost the instant you move out of combat to heal, making your normal light and heavy attacks vital for quickly getting back into the action. As you increase the amount of gauge, you will output more damage for all of your attacks, and you will also unlock some new movements.įor example, the Trey Star combo will end differently if you have your yellow or red gauge built up, throwing the umbrella-like weapon outwards, and dealing massive damage to the Kemono. Your Spindance Gauge is split up into three different sections blue, yellow, and orange/red.
For example, you could do your normal heavy attack, Reverse Lunge, and then follow up with your light attack to do a few hits in the air, but then, before you start falling to the ground, you can parry, which will keep you airborne and reset your attacks allowing you to do another set of light attacks, which you can then finish with a parry and so on. You are also able to work in parries with your aerial combos.
